Cashless Table Game Trial Launches in Nevada

Aristocrat Gaming and Boyd Gaming launch trial of Boyd Pay Wallet to support cashless table games in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both companies announced the successful launch of the cashless solution for table games on Oct. 13.

This latest enhancement to Boyd Pay, Boyd Gaming's cashless technology solution, which was first introduced earlier in March this year. The field trial will be taking place at Boyd's Aliante Casino Hotel and Spa, Las Vegas, in partnership with Genesis Gaming, another big name brand in the industry.

How It Works

The Boyd Pay Wallet will be integrated into the B Connected app – Boyd Gaming's mobile app. From there, players can access the wallet and buy into the game. As usual, players will get traditional casino chips for placing bets. At the end of the gaming session, players can keep their chips or transfer the value back to the Boyd Pay Wallet.

The concept of cashless gaming is one where players at the casino do not require physical cash in hand to place bets at a table. They do not have to bother withdrawing cash at an ATM or waiting in line at the casino cage to redeem chips. Instead, mobile banking will facilitate the funding of wagers.

The Boyd Pay Wallet

The Boyd Pay Wallet is powered by Aristocrat's digital wallet technology. The partnership with Genesis Gaming will allow access to its Oasis 360 casino management system with TrackIT. This will enable patrons to place bets using a Boyd Pay-generated QR code at the start of play.

Boyd Pay Wallet is already live for slots players at Boyd Gaming properties in Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Ohio and is available as a cashless payment solution for non-gaming amenities in Nevada.

With the seamless integration of TrackIT with B Connected, Boyd Pay, and Boyd Connect (Boyd's digital player club card), the operator is able to optimize players' experience at the casino, reducing costs and risks while supporting responsible gaming.
