DraftKings Permanent Sportsbook Location Opens in Foxwoods Resorts
DraftKings has opened its permanent sportsbook on the property of Foxwood Resorts Casino in Connecticut. This new location will replace the temporary one that it adopted at the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation-operated casino back in September when sports betting launched in the state.

The sportsbook, located in the Great Cedar area of the Foxwoods Resorts Casino, is a two-story building spanning 12,000 square feet. Patrons can place live bets at windows and kiosks in the betting areas, and as a full-service sportsbook will cover fan-favorite teams and events across professional and collegiate sports. There are also lounging areas, multiple VIP rooms, and wall-to-wall televisions anchored by an LED screen measuring 50 by 30 feet. Finally, the dining spaces include two bars and a restaurant that will be serving game–day favorites and burgers and wings.
Jason Robins, DraftKings Co-Founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Board, said, "The meticulously designed space will provide customers with a premier skin-in-the-game viewership experience accessible to Connecticut residents and beyond. As legalized sports betting continues to gain steam both in Connecticut and across the country, DraftKings is proud to be a brand consumers know and trust, and we remain excited about the possibilities that lie ahead as we team up with Foxwoods, a powerhouse in entertainment and hospitality."
Strong Sports Betting Demand following Connecticut Launch
Connecticut is one of the recent states to launch sports betting. According to Jason Guyot, President, and CEO of Foxwoods Resort Casino, demand has been strong and on an uptrend since the launch of retail sports betting in the state and subsequently at Foxwoods.
Guyot continued, "The new DraftKings Sportsbook at Foxwoods redefines what it means to bet, gather and play and delivers on our commitment to offering the best sports betting experience in the Northeast. With the NFL season at its peak, there is nothing more thrilling than taking a shot with your favorite team, and we're honored to deliver this new kind of betting experience where guests and fans can get in on the action, all in one place."
A Mutual Collaboration between Two Gambling Heavyweights
Both companies released a co-branded mobile sports betting and iGaming app, which went live in October. So bettors can now gamble at the sportsbook, at betting kiosks throughout the resort, or through the app. This collaborative effort marks the 12th permanent retail sportsbook for DraftKings in the US.
The sports betting company is already live with retail and online betting services in eighteen states, including Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming
DraftKings Inc. launched in 2012 as a digital sports entertainment and gaming company. Headquartered in Boston, they are a multi-channel provider of sports betting and gaming technologies and currently provide sports and gaming entertainment in 17 different countries.
On the other end, Foxwoods remains the largest resort in North America with over 2200 rooms, six world-class, multiple dining options, luxurious spas, award-winning golf, and state-of-the-art theatres, among other amenities.
