The new office is expected to open in a little over a month from now, on November 15, and a good number of the company's Esports team will be moving to the Maltese location to kick things off.

    A Fully Equipped Workplace

The office will be fully equipped to carry out the company's operations optimally. It will have an open floor plan with breakout spaces for individual work or group collaboration. There will also be a boardroom, a full kitchen, a bar, and direct access to Balluta Bay from the terrace.

The state-of-the-art design will incorporate e-sports themes all around. Employees will also get an e-sports focused leisure area complete with gaming consoles.

    Malta – A Strategic Location

Following the announcement, CEO, Esports Technologies, Aaron Speach, explained, "Europe's esports engagement is on a steep growth trajectory, and we foresee tremendous growth in its esports wagering market. With its educated and talented workforce, strong tech infrastructure, and business-friendly environment, Malta offers the ideal location for us to create new opportunities across Europe. We look forward to providing a work setting designed to foster meaningful collaboration, increase productivity and spark creativity."

Esports Technologies has long revealed its interests in entering the Western European hemisphere, including the UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Denmark, and the Netherlands. The opening of a Malta office could help foster that aspiration.

It was recently chosen as the host for both 2021 seasons of ESL Pro League. This makes Malta an influential location for the European esports audience of 92 million.
