IGT Resort Wallet Approved in Nevada

International Game Technology has announced that its Resort Wallet cashless gaming technology has received regulatory approval in Nevada.

IGT Resort Wallet Approved in Nevada

Expressing excitement on the part of the company, Ryan Reddy, IGT SVP Global PM VLT, Systems, Payments & Poker, said, "IGT earning Nevada regulatory approval for our award-winning, fully integrated cashless solution is a perfect bookend for a year marked with tremendous momentum for our Resort Wallet and IGTPay cashless gaming modules of the IGT ADVANTAGE system."

The approval means that IGT's entire cashless gaming solution will now be available at casinos throughout the state.

    Turnkey Solution

The IGT Resort Wallet is a part of the greater IGT ADVANTAGETM casino management system, which provides a fully integrated cashless gaming solution with external funding via IGTPay.

IGTPay allows casino players to fund their Cashless Wagering Accounts on their smartphones or other mobile devices and to transfer funds from external payment sources without any need to visit a casino cage, ATM, kiosk, or to handle cash.

The external sources referred to here include payment methods like credit and debit cards, bank accounts, and Sightline Play+ prepaid accounts. In October, IGT signed a deal with Sightline Payments to add the latter's Play+ as a funding option for IGT's land-based casino partners. The agreement also extended to Sightline's loyalty platform, Joingo, which IGT began leveraging last month to boost the customer experience further.

"This milestone achievement will allow for players and operators throughout the state to enjoy the many benefits of cashless gaming and reinforces Nevada's reputation as a future-forward gaming jurisdiction that is committed to advancing the player experience," said Reddy

Resort Wallet and IGTPay combined will allow casino players to move funds around from external sources to their Cashless Wagering Accounts and vice versa. Players will also benefit from a seamless interface where they can initiate or conclude slots plays by simply tapping on their smartphones.

A Leader in the Cashless Gaming Space

Both payment solutions have already garnered significant industry recognition, bagging the "Product Innovation of the Year" award at the 2021 Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas and helping IGT win the "Technology Provider of the Year" award in the International Gaming Awards in September last year.

The approval of IGT's Resort Wallet has further solidified the company's market position as a leader in the cashless gaming space.

In related news, IGT signed an agreement with Meruelo Gaming last week to power Arizona sports betting app, SaharaBets.

The company is also committed to positively impacting the environment and has recently signed up for the global climate initiative, Science Based Targets.
