New Elk Valley Casino Opens Up in California

The press release for the announcement read:

“The new Elk Valley Casino opens today in a magnificent setting between the grazing meadows of Roosevelt elk and the majestic mountains and forest, all overlooking the panoramic view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean and South Beach.”

The casino is a tribal-owned establishment of the Rancheria Indians and replaces the old Elk Valley Casino, which opened back in 1995. The venue is located off Highway 101, just two miles away from the old site on Howland Hill Road.

A Larger Gaming Space and More Offerings

The new casino boasts a much larger gaming space and more offerings than the previous one. The venue is a 36,000 square-foot area owned by Elk Valley Rancheria Indians. It is about 50% bigger than the older facility.

There are many more features provided as well, including games like slots, table games, poker, and other entertainment facilities. 300 slot machines are available, as well as table games like blackjack and Spanish 21. The gaming floor includes a separate poker room for Texas Hold’em and poker tournaments.

The Elk Valley Casino rewards system is available, and all points and benefits earned at the old facility will apply at the new location. Other perks include a Gift Shop that provides coffee, pastries, tobacco, gifts, and sundries.

On the property is a full event center, catering to alternative entertainment like big touring acts. The center will also hold bingo events for enthusiasts of the game.

Guests can dine at the Warrior Bar and Grill, which will offer menu favorites from the former casino as well as a new upscale-rustic menu. The Grill will also serve as a more intimate entertainment setting for smaller acts.

    More Modern Facilities

The new property also includes several high-tech facilities to guarantee a more enjoyable experience. One such is the state-of-the-art ventilation system that includes a Synexis Bio-Defense System. The system is designed to fight viruses, smoke, and bacteria, thereby providing a healthy gaming environment.

The tribe has provided a large parking space on-site and fitted with special EV charging stations and ADA accessible options. It is also much easier to access than the old property as it’s located closer to Highway 101.

This new casino has been in the works for a long time, and it took eight years for the tribe to secure approval before construction began. After the long wait, the Elk Valley Casino finally opened in grand style with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and weekend-long events and promotions.
