WSOP Releases Schedule for the 2022 Tournament
The World Series of Poker has released the event schedule for the upcoming 53rd WSOP. Last year it was announced that the prestigious tournament, which had been held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino for 17 years, would be moving to Bally's (soon-to-be Horseshoe) in 2022. Later reports revealed that another destination, Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, will also play host to the events.

With both resorts located at the Strip, the WSOP will be making its way to the heart of Vegas. The events will begin on May 31 to run through July 20.
Old and New Events
The schedule for this year is similar to previous editions, and as expected, there will be a large number of events with buy-ins from $400 to $250,000.
The $10,000 No-Limit Hold 'em World Championship will feature as the Main Event. It will take place beginning July 3 through July 15 and16 with the final table.
Commenting on the schedule, WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart said, "This year is particularly historic for the WSOP with its move to the heart of the Las Vegas Strip and debut in the best facilities we've ever had. We're ready to welcome players from all over the world to our housewarming party at Bally's, soon-to-be Horseshoe, and Paris."
The Main Event remains the number one highlight. The event brought in 6,650 entrants to the 22nd WSOP despite the inconvenient pandemic rules. With easier restrictions this year, the anticipation is much higher.
The Director added:
"The schedule is jam-packed with first-class events, and we expect this to be the biggest and most anticipated WSOP yet."
Several new events will be featured this year. They include the all-new $1,000 Buy-In Million Dollar Bounty with a mystery bounty worth $1 million, the Mid-stakes Events with added $2,000 and $3,000 no-limit events, or GGPoker's 1,000 Buy-In Flip and Go.
Players can get off to a million-dollar start on opening weekend. "The housewarming" event comes with a $500 buy-in and a $5 million prize pool. As the event returns to its traditional summertime slot, organizers expect an even larger number of buy-ins.
Much Larger Gaming Space
The combined casinos provide a convention space of over 150,000 square feet, a much greater capacity than the series has ever had at its disposal. The dual location setup will also allow for up to 600 poker tables on the floors.
Paris will contain the main cage, while the soon-to-be Horseshoe will feature the TV set staging. The two buildings are connected and share a parking lot which will allow easy access between the two locations.
Caesars' will be bringing the Horseshoe brand back to Vegas by converting Bally's Las Vegas Hotel & Casino into Horseshoe Las Vegas. Following appropriate renovations, the rebranding will be completed by the end of the year.
The WSOP was inaugurated at the original Horseshoe's back in 1970. So once the rebranding is complete, the tournament will be returning back to its roots.
Participants will enjoy early booking discounts for hotel lodging at Bally's and Paris as well as across all Caesars properties in Las Vegas. The group has provided the special booking code WSOP22 to this effect. More information is available on the Caesars Entertainment Reservations page, and players can find the full WSOP 2022 schedule on the tournament's official site.
